The IOC member, WTF President, Dr. Un Yong Kim will visit North Korea in order to consult on a exchange plan of the sports events with North in late March or early April 2003.

Dr. Un Yong Kim was invited by the Chairman of the Korea Sports Committee, Mr. Park Myong Chol and the IOC member, ITF President, Mr. Chang Ung. Despite extreme tension both side showed a strong will to advance sports exchange between North and South Korea.

Especially, Dr. Un Yong Kim visits North Korea has important meaning after South Korea starts its new government. He will discuss about participation in both Deagu Summer Youth Event in August 2003 and Olympic Game in 2004, also he will discuss about the subject of unifying Taekwon-Do.

Dr. Un Yong Kim said that we are going to discuss about a wide spectrum of interests including Taekwon-Do and participation of the international sports events as one.

Last November, Dr. Un Yong Kim met Mr. Chang Ung in USA. They agreed on the dates for their next meetings in Pyongyang and Seoul.
