| On 08 June 2002, International General Choi's
Cup was held by Lu's Taekwon-Do in Ottawa, Canada. About
500 competitors entered for the General Choi's Cup from the
world. Many Masters and leaders came from the world. The stadium
was alive with over thousand of spectators.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Master Phap Lu. Mr.
Russell MacLellan, Senior Vice President of the ITF made a
speech on General Choi's condition and about ITF; it inspired
the practitioners with courage. And Mr. Mac Harb, a Canadian Member
of Parliament made a speech on congratulation. All of the people
who were in the stadium prayed for General Choi's recovery.
Many leaders of the ITF
came to Ottawa fully showed their loyalty to General Choi Hong
Hi and a bright future of ITF. They
talked about wide topics of the ITF. It is said that many
Masters and leaders of the national governing bodies are going
to visit General Choi. The Masters and leaders who took part in
General Choi's Cup are as following.
