The
ITF Board of Directors’ meeting was held at the headquarters
of International Taekwon-Do Federation, Vienna, Austria on November
16, 2002.
On November 15, before the meeting the ITF president, Mr. Chang
Ung met and invited Mr. Russel Maclellen to the ITF Board of Directors’
meeting at the Hotel Berger in Vienna. Mr. Russel Maclellen, the
ITF senior vice president expressed that for the moment he would
like to step back and to give free hands to Mr. Chang Uug to chair
the Board of Directors’ meeting.
On the meeting, the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, Master
Geogios Stylianides proposed the dismissal of Master Tom MacCallum,Wim
Bos, Paul Weiler, Sheena Sutherland and Mr. Coos vd Heuvel from
their post. The ITF Board of Directors accepted the Chairman’s
proposal, and produced
the decision of the ITF Board of Directors’ meeting.
The Consultative
Council of the ITF also held a meeting right after the ITF
Board of Directors’ meeting at the Hotel Berger in Vienna.
The members of the Consultative Council announced the full support
to the decision of the ITF Board of Directors’ meeting.
After the
meeting the ITF president, Mr. Chang Uug met Mr. Russel Maclellen
again because Mr. Russel Maclellen learned that the ITF Board
of Directors’ meeting decided to dismiss Master Tom MacCallum
from the position as secretary general. Mr. Russel Maclellen tried
to negotiate about the compensation of Master Tom MacCallum. Mr.
Chang Uug told to Mr. Russel Maclellen that he will give the answer
to him after the consultation with the Board of Directors and
Consultative Council of the ITF.
The members of the Board of Directors manifested their one and
same viewpoint that they should faithfully carry out the Last
Words of our beloved Founder, General Choi Hong Hi in compliance
with the ethics of the martial artists and the morality of Taekwon-Do.
All members have a good impression of the ITF president, Mr. Chang
Uug. They consider him as the leader with great talents and charisma.
Also they all appreciate General Choi Hong Hi’s great vision
to choose a great successor for the ITF family before his departure.
Under the new leadership of Mr. Chang Uug the future of the ITF
will be very bright. After this turblent, the ITF headquarters(Draugasse
3, 1210 Vienna, Austria

normally.
