According to a report of South Korean sports news paper, Korea Taekwon-Do Committee welcomes a South Korea Taekwondo delegation to Pyongyang between 14 to 17 September.

On September 9, 2002, Korea Taekwondo Association declared that a letter from Korea Taekwon-Do Committee is received through panmunjom on 8 September. It indicated the suggestions about a schedule, a route, a hotel and the expenses of the South Korean Taekwondo delegation for visiting Pyongyang.

Korea Taekwon-Do Committee suggested that the delegation show a performance once or twice at the Pyongyang Taekwon-Do Palace during 14 to 17 September, and visit the Tower of Juche Idea, the Korean Central History Museum, the Mausoleum of King Tongmyong and the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and so on. The route of visiting Pyongyang is from Seoul to Pyongyang via Beijing, and the delegation will stay in Koryo Hotel. North Korea will pay the expenses of the delegation in Pyongyang, the air fares will fall on South Korea.

According to the suggestions of Korea Taekwon-Do Committee, Korea Taekwondo Association has started to negotiate with South Korea government and then reply to Korea Taekwon-Do Committee. Korea Taekwondo Association revealed that the schedule is closing, and the Association has to negotiate with government to visit a sensitive place which is suggested by Korea Taekwon-Do Committee.

According to a statement produced by the seventh inter-Korean cabinet meeting, South Korea will send a taekwondo delegation to Pyongyang around mid-September and the North's delegation to Seoul around late October.
