Grandmaster Rhee Ki Ha
and Grandmaster Park Jong Soo held a seminar in New York City
on June 2 to 4, 2006. It was a historical event in ITF history.
“Grandmasters should continue teaching their brilliant techniques
and valuable experiences to the world practitioners. There are
only few remaining Grandmasters in the world who were promoted
by General Choi Hong Hi. Grandmaster Rhee and Grandmaster Park
are two of them.” A participant said with emotion and excitement.
Grandmaster Rhee’s special push-up surprised the participants.
He is close to seventy, but still hale and hearty. Grandmaster
Rhee was the first official instructor who went abroad to teach
Taekwon-Do in 1964. Grandmaster Park was the first champion in
sparring in Taekwon-Do. He was a member of the early Taekown-Do
delegation headed by General Choi.
At the seminar Grandmaster Rhee taught the techniques and theory
of Taekwon-Do while Grandmaster Park taught the techniques of
sparring.
