Mr. Guangsong Li, President
of China ITF led a China ITF delegation and visited Japan ITF.
On the first March the China ITF delegation came back with fruitful
results.
China ITF delegation flied to Tokyo on Feb. 24 started a one-week
visit. Master Hwang Jin, Chairman of ITF Japan and Counselor of
China ITF, and Mr. Pak, Commissioner of Japan ITF, welcomed Mr.
Li at the Tokyo International airport. In the afternoon Mr. Pak
specified the arrangement of the schedule and the 17th Japan Tae
Kwon-Do Tournament. Then, Mr. Li, Master Hwang and Mr. Pak attended
a welcome dinner and exchanged ideas and perspectives of TKD both
in Japan and China. Both sides were glad to meet each other again
since last October and believed that the contact would be helpful
for the future interaction and development of TKD between the
two countries.
In the next day morning, Mr. Li met representatives and participants
from other countries for the tournament. During the afternoon,
Mr. Li rehearsed the opening ceremony with Japanese demonstrators,
and discussed the TKD techniques in details. Meanwhile, Master
Hwang suggested holding an Asian Championship in China, and Mr.
Li was glad to discuss about the TKD tournaments in Asia with
representatives from other countries. Mr. Li also exercised and
communicated ITF Taekwon-Do techniques with professionals from
Japan and Korea.
The 17th Japan TKD Tournament started in the morning of Feb.
26. Mr. Li attended the opening ceremony with team leaders of
Korea and Russia. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Li demonstrated
perfect techniques with turning and jumping breaking kicks, and
won fiery applause from more than 3000 audients. The audience
greatly admired Mr. Li’s excellent techniques and praised
China ITF.
On Feb. 27, Master Hwang Jin accompanied Mr. Li to the Mountain
Fuji and hot spring. Master Hwang and Mr. Li discussed the future
development of ITF. Master Hwang wished to send teams to China
for matches, studies and communications, and to push TKD to further
success. Master Hwang praised Mr. Li’s great achievement
of strengthening China ITF. Master Hwang also encouraged Mr. Li
to be confident, overcome every difficulty, and continue to spread
TKD in China. Master Hwang said that Japan ITF would continue
to support and help China ITF. Master Hwang believed that China
ITF would have great improvement under Mr. Li’s leaderships.
Mr. Li also showed confidence and felt obligatory to spread legitimate
TKD and culture in China.
In the morning of March 1st, Master Hwang asked Mr. Hwang Suil,
Chairman of technical committee of Japan ITF, and Mr. Pak, executive
commissioner of Japan ITF, to farewell Mr. Li at the airport.
After one-week’s visit Mr. Li returned to Beijing. This
trip not only introduced China TKD techniques to Japanese audience,
but China ITF also gained TKD experience from Japan. It will definitely
accelerate the development of TKD in China as well as the world.
