Our beloved teacher Mr.
Shuojing Song, the Founder of China ITF (China International Taekwon-Do
Federation) and Mr. Guangsong Li, the President of China ITF,
were invited by Master Hwang Jin, the senior executive member
of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, Chairman of the International
Taekwon-Do Federation Japan, to Hotel Century Southern Tower in
Tokyo to hold a five-day in-depth meeting and exchange ideas.
The meeting focused on the development and direction of China's
Taekwon-Do and discussed how to solve the issues revolving foreign
instructors’ negative effects and their position in China.
This was another historical meeting for Chinese Taekwon-Do, since
Mr. Shuojing Song and Gen. Choi Hong Hi had the first historical
meeting for founding the China ITF in October 1998.
On October 5, Mr. Shuojing Song and Mr. Guangsong Li arrived in
Japan's Narita International Airport and greeted and welcomed
personally by Master Hwang Jin. Then, they headed toward the Hotel
Century Southern Tower located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. During the
stay in Japan, they visited ITF Japan Headquarters and some Dojangs.
They exchanged numerous and broad ideas with Japanese Taekwon-Do
instructors, which further enhance the friendship between the
Chinese and Japanese Taekwon-Do practitioners. Under the strong
active support from Master Hwang Jin, specific plans for various
international Taekwon-Do activities that will be held in China
during 2007 was made, including international training seminar
in China next spring and international friendship competition
in the summer. The first international competition in China will
be held next year. The participating countries are Japan, Korea,
Great Britain, the United States, Canada and etc. China ITF welcomes
all the countries to participate this event. Both sides agreed
that these activities will promote international exchange in Taekwon-Do
and promoting China Taekwon-Do’s healthy development.
On October 10, Mr. Shuojing Song and Mr. Guangsong Li left Tokyo,
Japan to Seoul, the capital of South Korea, successfully concluding
the visit to Japan. During their visit in South Korea, Mr. Shuoing
Song and Mr. Guangsong Li exchanged ideas with the executive members
of the ITF South Korea and given two days technical seminar to
South Korean Instructors. They were highly appreciated and welcomed
by South Korean practitioners, which presented Chinese Taekwon-Do's
